Natural Gas Gathering

Turnkey Gathering Systems

High Desert Pipeline turnkey-engineers natural gas gathering systems which collect natural gas from wellheads in the field and deliver it to a common delivery point or sales meter. HDP’s turnkey gathering systems include the proper production, treating and processing equipment, gas compression (if required) and are designed for future expansion — lowering the capital infrastructure cost for producers. This enables producers to allocate more capital to drilling wells – with the comfort of an experienced company operating its gathering facilities for a simple fee or a net back on the sale of natural gas.

Gathering Systems, Pipelines & Production

Texas-Ohio Pipeline, Inc. (PIPE), an HDP affiliated company, was established in the late 1980s to construct, own and operate a pipeline facility in the central Kentucky. The pipeline is strategically located to connect two interstate pipelines to serve northeastern markets which historically experience capacity constraints. With the capability to transport in excess of 100,000 MMBtu per day of natural gas, the pipeline had a peak day in the 1993-94 winter of 98,000 MMBtu. e’prime, an unregulated affiliate of Public Service of Colorado, purchased the pipeline in 1996.

Texas-Ohio Producing, Inc. (TOP), another affiliated company of HDP, explores for, drills for, produces and operates oil and gas production. During the past 23 years TOP has been involved with the operations both as an operator and as a working interest partner for on and offshore Gulf Coast, Appalachian region and the Permian basin production areas of the United States. In conjunction with its operations, TOP purchased controlling shares of Allison Gas Systems, Accell Natural Gas and Westfirst Gas Company in 1993. The purchase represented approximately 1.5 Bcf of natural gas reserves and 5,000 MMBtu of daily production including 10 miles of gathering and processing facilities. The group of companies concluded its operations when Devon Oil acquired it in 1997.
